Looking down on the White Horse of Uffington

Looking down on the White Horse of Uffington

Needing a good place for a picnic, we took a path which led us up onto the Downs near Uffington, where we found ourselves standing above the bright white eye of the Horse. This completely new view of a well-known landmark intrigued me , and I took a number of photos before we continued our journey.
Although I played with the colours, the shapes and composition of the ancient Downland landscape are much the same as in my photos - a ready-made abstract.

Available as a limited edition giclee print.
