Many classical sites in Turkey are remote, such as this one on a pine-clad mountain top. A jumble of fallen pillars and other carved stones lay along one side of the old forum, where bright shafts of sunlight fell through the trees.
I was particularly attracted by the dappled light, so I started with haphazard patches of yellow and blue acrylic inks thrown onto the wet paper, and then, referring to a number of digital photos, worked out a superimposed composition of the stones, mainly in acrylic paint.
Available as a professionally produced, limited edition giclee print.
