Margot is a British based Artist currently in Herefordshire, United Kingdom. She developed an independent practice and developed her own voice. Margot’s main artistic inspirations comes from the Renaissance Masters in particular, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt and Andre Vercocchio’s ancient techniques. Margot’s main medium in her current artwork collection is working with silverpoint. Her themes are exploring the power of the moment - life. Appreciating moments that have passed and preserving her stories through words and drawings.

Laura Terry

I attempt to capture a sense of nostalgia and transient beauty in my paintings. I will often make small paintings on location which stand alone or may inform larger paintings that I create in my studio, but I'm not averse to using photos that I take as an aide memoire. I love the visceral, expressive qualities of oil paint, sometimes working alla prima to capture the atmosphere of the moment, sometimes building up work slowly, working over ghosts of images to create a palimpsest. I completed my BA (Hons) in Fine Art through the University of Kent in 2010 and then went on to complete a PGCE in Art and Design through Canterbury Christ Church University to become an art teacher. Feeling the need to focus my attention on painting full time, I retired from my post as Head of Art in 2020 and moved to Cornwall in 2021.
