About Teresa Wilson
Based in Manchester, United Kingdom. member for 7 Years
Recent practice has centred on textile sculpture made from rags and recycled materials. Uncanny figures of men, women and children each have their own uneasy personalities. They are sold individually and also exhibited in larger installations, often in historic buildings - to tell stories and create dramatic scenarios. Digital photographic prints are available of the installations.
Bird sculptures of the corvid family - ravens, rooks and crows also feature largely in my work. These have been made for large Arts Council funded installations but are also for sale as discrete works of art.
Small painted studies or drawings of people and birds are for sale on the website.
