The sculpture heads, birds and puppets are constructed using a layering process of binding strips of cut up rags and old bedding over a wire skeleton. They are finished with layers of gesso, paint and chalk and decorated with found objects, rags and vintage fabrics.
Responding to space, the work has been installed in various unusual venues including a medieval tower, a 16th Century chapel, changing room cubicles in an empty River Island shop, volcanic caves in Turkey and Kurt Schwitters Merzbarn at Elterwater in the Lake District.
