In my making of the image I try to re-experience the moment I have seen and something of the acuteness of what I have felt. I use the language of marks, colours, forms, abstractions, mixed media and whatever it takes to draw the viewer into the experience with me.
The landscapes I am drawn to are those in which there is the most powerful sense of antiquity and of the elemental forces that went into their making. My aim is to capture some sense of this, the animation of landscape and everything in it, to convey the feeling of it being alive and in flux.
