Race Day At Glasha Meadow

This is a collection of characters who attended the end of summer traditional races in Glasha Meadows in 2002. Or was it 2001? My memory is shot for this sort of stuff. I actually did a lot of the original sketches on my race programme, but then I filed it away and don’t know where it is. However, I do remember that there was a bookmaker called Jarlath Connolly.

Before each race there was a lot of chat amongst the adults, while the kids/jockeys stood around staring into space.

They don’t seem to have races there anymore. There aren’t any houses on the meadows yet, but it’s probably only a matter of time.
