Peter Lorimer – The Hardest Shot in Football (or was that Alan Hinton?)
Artists Description

In the 1970s, having “the hardest shot in football” was a very important thing. Nets had to be busted. Speed records needed to be broken. Maybe we were more concerned in those days with speed and power – at the time NASA were still sending Saturn V rockets blasting out of our atmosphere towards the moon. In fact, with their all-white strip Leeds United had a similar look to the Apollo modules. And in space, no one can hear Norman Hunter tackle you from behind.
