This item is featured in my book ‘Wire Jewelry Masterclass’.

Inspired by the warrior queen herself, I developed this design whilst working on a project with Tutbury Castle and the British Museum, to develop (as accurately as possible) a lifelike portrayal of Boudica’s clothes. My role in this was to make 2 gold discs, which are attached to her cloak. You can find more details of this project here:

The discs on this bracelet are a smaller version of Boudica’s and made with copper wire, which has been coiled and shaped to form the double spirals. The small S shapes have been hammered to add strength and texture to the design.

The bracelet is 7 1/2” long, including the handmade clasp.
