Artists Description
This image is a visual interpretation of a line in Frederico Garcia-Lorca’s play Bodas de Sangre (Blood Wedding) - which in translation reads ‘The silent root of the scream’. On a recent visit to Andalucia, travelling in the dark near the place where Lorca was executed and buried by the roadside, I thought about a way to interpret this line in visual terms as an homage to Lorca, this silkscreen is the initial result.
