Meaning: In ancient India Sati practice was prevalent in which a widow would wish to (or forced to) burnt alive with her husband’s alter. Dying would give her place of goddess but opting to live would outcast from the society. The lemon and chilly garland is still used in India to keep away the bad spirit and as she opted to be alive, made her bad omen. And DEFIANCE was the only key to stay alive.
Inspiration: I took this subject from the existing society, where things have got better for widows but still there many places, where they are being differentiated. And DEFIANCE is still the key to stay strong.
