In the past year of living in Doolin I’ve spent more time outside in nature than at any time since I was a kid in rural Lincolnshire. One of my side projects has been tree planting - against the advice of those who’d been there before I planted over 100 small saplings, most of which are completely unsuitable for our hilltop site that’s buffeted by sea winds. So what would the trees say to me? Actually, that’s probably unprintable.
The idea for the title came from a conversation with local artist Cindy Griffin, who is soon to be putting an exhibition along the lines of What If Trees Could Speak.
