Conversations With The Historian

My neighbour Michael Danagher took me to see Sean McGrath, who lives in a beautiful old house at Rooska, Lisdoonvarna. Sean is a remarkable man who has stories and opinions on just about every subject.  Stories about travelling pipers, tinkers, the Gaelic League, politics, the consumer society.
After two hours or more of chat we said our goodbyes and got in the car. As I started up the engine Sean appeared once again. He’d found a photo we should see. So it was back in the house for more conversations with the historian.
