Atlantic Shore
Artists Description

Another painting of the fields of Cahermaccrusheen. In the mid foreground are the two old cottages and the crumbling dry stone walls. OK, so you need night vision goggles to see them. The boreen to the left carries on until it meets the coast road at Ballyrean. Watching the light disappear in late summer you’re hit by thick bands of blue of different hues as the clouds roll in from between the Aran Isles and the Cliffs of Moher. I applied the paint using one of my old gardening gloves and bits of kitchen roll.
