Garden feature commissioned for a wall plinth surrounding a pond garden.
The surface is created on a galvanised steel armature fixed to a a sheet base plate. The base plate has an opening to insert a light so the Light House can be illuminated from within.
Daylight floods down through the clear glass dome and through each of the six windows. The window features are end on stained and sea glass adhered to clear glass panels creating a fractal surface as well as beautiful luminosity of the multiple glass colours.
The body surface materials include found pieces of ceramic and glass, forged stainless steel and nickel plated cutlery details. I formed lead to frame the windows, create the dome finish and neck, and base capping. The work holds lots of surprises revealed by different lighting conditions. More images and information below.
