The drawing; Transparency documents various events in the May 2010 general election campaign including reports of the new coalition government’s policies in their first 100 days of power. During the election broadcasts on TV, I was fascinated with the ways in which politicians presented their arguments, but also concerned about the impact of new ‘rolling back the state’ economic policy. I am interested in how the use of fragmentation in contemporary film, can be employed to disrupt the notion of universal truth prevalent in traditional documentary.
