6,000 Buttons.
Represents a percentage of the people that died both in the Tsunami of 2004 and Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, 2006. Each button is from clothes worn by people of all ages and is symbolic of the indiscriminate character of a natural disaster.
The buttons are thrown across the floor of an empty room and swept into different simple iconic shapes; a tidal wave, the eye of hurricane and recorded by photography
