I’ve interpreted this turn-of-the-century scene of
English Street in Armagh, in a modern way, using
a very bright palette of medium-textured acrylics
and applying them with a range of palette knives
from broad for the sky and background to very small,
fine palette-knives for the details, finishing off with
small paintbrushes for the faces.  This study works
well with the harmonious application of colour,
composition, texture, form and perspective. 
The scene extends out to the edges of
the deep-edged boxed canvas for a professional finish.
