Artists Description
This vibrant, little oil pastel of Venice with a ghost of a gondolier in the foreground, was created using oil pastels to achieve those vibrant colours depicting the brightness and opulence of Venice when ablaze with light and sunshine and colour. The gondolier is faded into the buildings, in keeping with the legend that the spirit of the gondoliers lives on.
