Venice seems to shimmer and sparkle and as I passed this gondola on it’s way to the Lido Island, it seemed to sway and sparkle in the shimmering heat and light.  Colours seem to be transformed with light.  Nearly all gondolas are black but the light and the reflection of the lagoon on this particular day, seemed to turn the gondola into a sparkling emerald on a sapphire sea with a lavender sky and gold buildings. Venice is like a magical, glittering jewel in the sparkling Adriatic Ocean. 
I used light swishes of harmonious textured brush strokes and palette-knives application of smooth acrylic paint to achieve this look.
