Sometimes it seems Venice will go on fire, such is the brilliance of her light while the sun is shining at it’s brightest.  Every dome and statue and sculpture seems to be set ablaze with light and colour.  The water sparkle like jewels on an already-rich piece of jewellery. Shapes, sound, light, and shade, chiaroscuro, colour, texture, perspective, harmony and contrast all need to be capture in a synergous manner to adequately represent the spirit of Venice. White marble buildings seem to turn blue in certain lights and skies turn red and yellow, and the canal turns a blood red colour.
