Artists Description
My daughter Mollie was doing her homework the other day and asked me if bats have a backbone. I got out the friendly book of animal skeletons and showed her the bats. That night I dreamt the idea for this mosaic, clearly inspired by that earlier experience.
I feel that it makes an interesting companion piece to the Owls, albeit an upside down one! By the way, I DID have to mosaic the bats the correct way up to get their faces right.
