An interpretation of the painting described in the little known story ‘Medusa’s Coil’ by H P Lovecraft and Zealia B Reed.
Other inspirations include H R Giger, M C Escher and the Wamphyri of Brian Lumley’s ‘Necroscope’ series
After some consideration I thought that the original painting needed some more work, so here is the ‘revisted’ version.
