Artists Description
One of the rocky beaches just south of the village on the Isle of Iona in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. The rocks in the foreground have pink sea thrift growing in the crevices. Looking across the Sound of Iona, the pink granite rocks of the Ross of Mull can be seen with the village of Fionnphort nestling in a gap in the hills. This painting was donated to CHAS for their May 2007 fundraising auction and raised £300 for this worthy cause. Please see the Western Isles Gallery for other original paintings of Iona
