These images explore imaginary landscapes where geometric and natural forms collide. Shapes appear and disappear behind graphite veils as if seen under the microscope. The process of drawing is a starting point to further interactions. A set of instructions to be obeyed or ignored. To not know what to draw was the starting point for these works. Through this exploration it became apparent that the process of creating structures against gesture revealed a contradiction that interested me. As I explored further, these contradictions seemed to speak a more profound truth. This started me on a series of journeys in search of new meanings. A line takes you on that journey.
