My inspiration tends to be from places or people that have an emotional effect on me.
I love the old buildings and castles of this area - South Shropshire- and have created linocuts based on my drawings and photographs of them.

Recently I was very moved by the book and film ’ Touching The Void’ which documents the traumatic adventures of Joe Simpson and Simon Yates when they attempted to climb Siula Grande Mountain in Peru. I created some collagraphs based on elements of their story.

Textiles have been part of my life for a long time - and I dye and paint or screen-print my original designs onto 100% silk georgette to create fabulous floaty scarves. These designs are inspired by vintage ceramics.
