Yesim Mehmet
My work explores pattern through a sculptural form of body art and shows a transition from two dimensional surfaces onto three dimensional forms. I work with a range of materials and processes, making connections with the pattern on the outer surface of the body and the nature of its aesthetics. Currently I am producing a series of sculptures that are influenced by the theme of camouflage.
