in painting mixed media

Most of my work is painted in acrylic, with a heavy bias towards abstract work. I am inspired by everything I see around me, but have a particular inclination towards the flora and fauna around me. I like to look in detail at plants, animals and man-made structures in order to examine their make-up and reproduce images that are interesting to me. I often paint simply because I need to. It is on those occasions that I tend to create my most instinctive abstracts.
