I love oil paint and I am constantly trying new ideas which is exciting and keeps my work fresh. The great Picasso felt threatened by the invention of photography. he wondered ’ what is the point of painting if reality can be captured by a lens’. I take inspiration from his single mindedness. He became a prolific painter, he understood that he needed to drag painting beyond what was real, in order to surpass photography. He would continually de -construct forms and take them beyond reality. He painted in many different styles, always searching for something new.
