Once a Commercial Artist now an amateur (in that I no longer make a living from art). As a Commercial Artist I hardly painted at all but did a lot of accurate drawing. Most of my few painting skills have been self-taught in the last twelve years. And I’m still learning. I paint for its own sake with sales a welcome but non-essential bonus.
