Paul Vann
After studying Art and Design at Loughborough College of Art, I embarked on a prolific and very challenging career in the creative environment of advertising.
Now as a ‘reborn’ artist, I have returned to the comparative sanity of conceiving and painting subjects of my own choice.
I have always been facinated and inspired by wildlife and the sheer diversity of natural habitats,
where gulls that soar over imposing cliffs and thundering breakers of the Cornish Coast are a stark contrast to the multitude of birds wading in gentle ripples over sweeping sands and salt marshes in East Anglia.
Extensive Travel sputh of the Equater enabled me to witness the many and diverse species running free under dramatic, iridescent skies, a theme which has become a ‘trade mark’ of my work.
My present obsession and occupation is a series of paintings featuring birds of prey, the first ‘Old Tawny’ is included in this gallery presentaion which I hope ypu will enjoy - there are more to come!
