Born in Barmby Moor, East Yorkshire I then spent my early childhood in York before my parents moved to Leeds in the Sixties.  Being a teenager in those revolutionary years brought about my desire to be unconventional and an individualist.  For many years I strove to be a writer in my own forceful style, and throughout the Eighties and Nineties had many successes.  But time and age mellow opinions and the
rebel within us often chooses to wander another pathway.  Arriving in art from the motorway of literature gives me the belief I can drive on the country roads with utter contentment and without care whether I land in the ditches or picnic in the beautiful scenery.
